Dear Hills Spirit FC Community,

It is with great pleasure that I announce Hills Spirit FC, along with 18 other local football clubs, have officially been accepted as a foundation member club for the new Hills Football association.

This is a massive achievement our our club and signals a new era for Hills Spirit FC. There will be one local football competition in The Hills from next season, the Hills Football Association, which is fully sanctioned by Football NSW.

Additionally, Hills Spirit FC will still provide opportunities for our teams to play in NSWCFA (Churches) competitions if this is a preference and we are currently working through this with NSWCFA.

I will advise of any further developments for next seasons competition as they arise. There will be many meetings and workshops to be held this side of Christmas to get the new competition up and running next season and the proper governance in place. Registrations are likely to be delayed from normal as infrastructure and logistics are sorted through for the new competition, and all clubs will be in the same position in this regard.

Importantly, I will keep the Hills Spirit FC community updated with information as it becomes available.

Exciting times ahead for our proud and passionate club and members!

Yours in sport,

Mark McCrea, President Hills Spirit FC.
