Dear Hills Spirit FC Community,
Hills Football has now released a season schedule for all age groups and all divisions. However, there will be a grading review and regrading after this weekend (Round 4), which means some competition draws will be subject to change. Once the regrading has been finalised and the draws updated, I will issue an updated season draw to all coaches and managers.
Please note our MiniRoos are not affected by this as we develop our own internal in-house draw for this competition.
As previously advised, our club has some junior Instructional Referees who are now qualified to referee ages under 8s through to under 11s. This is the first year for all our boys and we are receiving some great feedback on their performances.
Just a reminder that it is the responsibility of all our coaches, managers and parents to be fully supportive of our boys who are learning their way through this. On game day, we are to encourage and support our refs and also call out any poor behaviour or language directed at our referees from opposition (or home) spectators throughout the game. As junior referees, they will be relying on our coaches and managers to address any issues on their behalf with the opposition coach and manager. The club will also endeavour to have a match official at the ground for these games, wherever possible.
We are locking in the team group and individual photos for the weekends of the 17th and 24th June with Ian and Leonie at Art In Images, our official photographers. Ian will contact all teams to schedule in your date and time for your team photos, which will generally be based around when your team is playing at our home ground. For MiniRoos, we will likely do two lots of four teams over the two weekends.
